I would like to pose the question to the Pastors and members of the Church of God in Christ; When you joined the Church of God in Christ, did they give clear and succinct information you were giving away your Church and property? Did they tell you no matter what your deed said, once you pay your reports, participate, fellowship that you, (in my opinion), became only the caretaker; if you don’t own it but you perform upkeep, pay the bills, keep tissue in the restrooms so it is ready “for the use of the members of the Church of God in Christ”, you are a caretaker. Your pay is the benefits of being a member of the Church such as use of the 501C3. Did you know, as long as you have the word “Church” in your name you are automatically exempt see I.R.S. Publication 1828; page 3, Sub-Heading Recognition of Tax Exempt Status.
I have been accused of being a rebel, a renegade. Is it wrong to ask for justice? Is it wrong to ask for fair and equitable treatment? Is it wrong to expect the Word of God to reign supreme in word and deed? The easiest thing would be to walk away, say just forget it, but I believe I am obeying GOD in this endeavor. It is God who sets men up and takes them down.
Wherefore David blessed the LORD before all the congregation: and David said, Blessed be thou, LORD GOD of Israel our father, for ever and ever. Thine, O LORD, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O LORD, and thou are exalted as head above all. Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thy hand is power and might; and in thy hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all. Now therefore our GOD; we thank thee and praise thy glorious name. I Chronicles 29:10-13.
I truly and sincerely pray for our leaders, for if the enemy can overthrow the leaders, he disillusions and pulls down a host of followers
I exhort therefore, that first of all, supplications, prayer, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, for rulers, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of our GOD our Saviour; I Timothy 2:1-3
To all who are arrayed against those in Christ who seek justice, fair and equitable treatment I pray; The LORD therefore be judge, and judge between me and thee, and see, and plead my cause, and deliver me out of thine hand. I Samuel 24:15
Another Emmanuel?
I have recieved information, there is another Emmanuel, where the cases are so simular it is amazing. Although this case was in May of 2003, it appears the pattern was established, if you want the court to take jurisdiction, make it a property rights issue. See for yourselves http://www.marciaoddi.com/cgi-local/blogdocs/Prayer.pdf . On a previous blog I had stated we Pastors and members were caretakers, it looks like the term should be sharecroppers. On one occasion a brother told me “I was Jim Crowed in the south, I didn’t join the church to be Jim Crowed”.
Psalms 83:1-3 1 Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God. 2 For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head. 3 They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones. …
Psalms 83:9-12 9 Do unto them as unto the Midianites; as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the brook of Kison: 10 Which perished at Endor: they became as dung for the earth. 11 Make their nobles like Oreb, and like Zeeb: yea, all their princes as Zebah, and as Zalmunna: 12 Who said, Let us take to ourselves the houses of GOD in possession Psalm 83:1 -3, 9-12
