Here is the text found in  ARTICLE VIII of the CHURCH OF GOD IN CHRIST, INC. Constitution.  When the word “shall” is used, it indicates a mandate.  There are no choices, there are no other options.  I have placed the items in bold print that pertain to those who are qualified to be the Ecclesiastical (Board of Bishops) representative and who is qualified to be the Ministerial  (General Council of Pastors and Elders) representative.

Click on the manual cover to view ARTICLE VIII in its entirety.

How Long O God !!!

Psalm 94:1–8

1 O LORD God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself. 2 Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth: render a reward to the proud. 3 LORD, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph? 4 How long shall they utter and speak hard things? and all the workers of iniquity boast themselves? 5 They break in pieces thy people, O LORD, and afflict thine heritage. 6 They slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless. 7 Yet they say, The LORD shall not see, neither shall the God of Jacob regard it. 8 Understand, ye brutish among the people: and ye fools, when will ye be wise?

Hebrews 10:30–31

30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. 31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Habakkuk 1:1–4

1 The burden which Habakkuk the prophet did see. 2 O LORD, how long shall I cry, and thou wilt not hear! even cry out unto thee of violence, and thou wilt not save! 3 Why dost thou shew me iniquity, and cause me to behold grievance? for spoiling and violence are before me: and there are that raise up strife and contention. 4 Therefore the law is slacked, and judgment doth never go forth: for the wicked doth compass about the righteous; therefore wrong judgment proceedeth.

FATHER,  I thank you for your word, I trust you with my life and all that I have.   Judge between me and them, in the Name of JESUS.

Thy Word have I hid in mine heart that, I might not sin against you.  Psalms 119:11

To My C.O.G.I.C. Brothers and Sisters…

I have not written a new post for some time now and even now have only a couple of observations.  It is interesting to note the same group of people who opposed  JESUS , the Pharisees and Scribes ( church leaders and lawyers), appear to be the most antagonistic toward our struggle.   They too hinged their argument on the “law and traditions”, instead of the Word of GOD.  They too were afraid of what would happen if they didn’t crush the perceived threat to their”polity” (John 11:48).  I am reminded they who live Godly, shall suffer persecution.  I never dreamed those who should protect us would be involved in defrauding us.   Christ died for our sins, we are saved by grace, not by the constitution.  God esteems and magnifies his word, shouldn’t we?

Psalms 138:2 I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.

I have given GOD the glory, I won’t take it back

To The General Assembly and fellow Cogic Members

With all the intrusions the civil courts are making into churches, it is surprising to know they are being invited into the Church of God in Christ.  The court is being asked by the plantiffs; Church of God in Christ, Inc and Kansas Southwest Jurisdiction to permantly bar the original members of Emmanuel from exercising any authority in the church.  This is effectively asking the court to remove me as a member.   Is this the way people are treated who don’t bow down?  Is this what happens when you dare think the National Church will look into allegations made against a Bishop?  When I send in a complaint to the General Board, or the Chairman of the Board of Bishops, am I wrong to think I should receive an answer?   Am I wrong to think both parties should wait and hear the results?

There has been a great injustice put upon the members of Emmanuel COGIC, the original members not the ones who were brought in to create a fake split.  It also appears the system is more important than the people who toil, sacrifice, and build an church building.  As David said,” if it were my enemy I could have borne it”.  Not only is the injustice done by Bishop Gilkey, he has had friends in high places help him.  I lift my voice to the MOST HIGH GOD and cry out FATHER  save me.  Just as Hezekiah did when he received a letter from the King of Assyria in

II Kings 19:14-19

And Hezekiah received the letter of the hand of the messengers, and read it: and Hezekiah went up into the house of the Lord, and spread it before the Lord. 15 And Hezekiah prayed before the Lord, and said, O Lord God of Israel, which dwellest between the cherubim s, thou art the God, even thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth; thou hast made heaven and earth. 16 Lord, bow down thine ear, and hear: open, Lord, thine eyes, and see: and hear the words of Sennacherib, which hath sent him to reproach the living God. 17 Of a truth, Lord, the kings of Assyria have destroyed the nations and their lands, 18 And have cast their gods into the fire: for they were no gods, but the work of men’s hands, wood and stone: therefore they have destroyed them. 19 Now therefore, O Lord our God, I beseech thee, save thou us out of his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that thou art the Lord God, even thou only

O Lord our GOD, I beseech thee, save thou us out of his hand, I pray in Jesus name,  Thank You Father

To the General Assembly

WHEN DID THE CHURCH OF GOD IN CHRIST INC.; (THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY, THE GENERAL BOARD, THE JUDICIARY BOARD, THE PASTORS AND ELDERS COUNCIL, AND THE BOARD OF BISHOPS) sit down and agree to take property from members whose only offense is to not serve under a tyrannical leader .   Since this is the leadership in COGIC, and The Church of God in Christ Inc, is a plaintiff, why are you doing this.  Bishop Gilkey has said the trustees were trying to appoint a pastor.  The only  issue the historic members of Emmanuel have dealt with since November of 2004 was the desire to transfer.  NO ONE can produce any legitimate proof otherwise.   In November 2004 via telephone call, I was told by someone in authority, “only a Bishop can appoint a pastor”.   Since that day, our one sole desire was to transfer jurisdictions.  Everything else has been fabricated and or taken out of context to produce a different story.   It appears Bishop Gilkeys latest plan is to get a civil court, to permanently bar the original members of Emmanuel COGIC  from being a trustee.  They have taken over the corporation, want us to pay rent on the building.  They are having a civil court do this.   Remember, the plaintiffs in this are, The Church of God in Christ Inc and Kansas Southwest Jurisdiction Church of God in Christ.   He does offer us the privilege to be members at the “church” .   I did not know the civil court had the authority to say who could or could not be a trustee.

Be not deceived, God is not mocked, for whatsoever a man sows that shall he also reap.

To my COGIC brothers and sisters, Is it lawful?

Is it lawful, to manufacture a church split?  As strange as that question may sound, that is what has happened in the Kansas Southwest Jurisdiction.   Eld. Joshua Stidham had his first service in a little vacant building, which in 1967 had no restrooms in the city limits,  that was to the North of what was then a vacant lot and is now the church you see in the picture to the right.  As his eldest son, I helped clean out the debris, repair the seats, and clean a building which had been abandoned.   I was 13 years old at the time and his family was his first and only members the first Sunday he opened up.  Here is a picture of the front of Emmanuel COGIC literally built by Eld. Joshua Stidham (the founder) in the 1970’s.  The members who were with him are the defendants in the case I have been reporting on.

This is a picture of what was then New Beginning COGIC whose pastor was Eld. Edward Bereal.  Bishop Gilkey announced he was merging this church with Emmanuel COGIC.  This was after he filed the first lawsuit, while under a temporary injunction.  This is when the members who under Eld. Joshua Stidham, built Emmanuel, were first accused of taking Emmanuel COGIC hostage.  This property once belonged to Kansas Southwest Jurisdiction but it and a number of empty lots, were Quit Claimed to a contractors wife.  It was in trade for a sign on a piece of commercial property.

This is a picture of what was the Kansas Southwest COGIC headquarters where Bishop Gilkey’s son, Eld. Mark Gilkey pastored the Agape COGIC.  When Agape was merged with St. Mark, this property was sold.  This merger took place in mid 2008.

This is a picture of what was St. Mark COGIC which was pastored by Bishop J.C. Gilkey.  When he merged Agape COGIC with St. Mark,  the name was changed to St. Mark Cathedral COGIC and Eld. Mark Gilkey was appointed pastor.

During the course of the legal action initiated by Bishop Gilkey on the advice of the COGIC General Counsel, Eld. Enoch Perry there have been three separate groups the prelate said were members of Emmanuel which, he said, we were preventing from having service.  Group (1) Pastored by Elder Edward Bereal,  Group (2) pastored by Elder Faithan Frazier, and Group (3) people who followed Bishop Gilkey to Emmanuel after he appointed his son as Pastor of St. Mark.   The prelate had Janet Sisney who he said was the church secretary compile what he claimed was a Certified Member list  of Emmanuel.  These were all people who he claimed we would not allow to worship at Emmanuel.  He said when they followed him, they became members of Emmanuel.

I ask again, is it lawful to manufacture a church split by bringing in people from other churches?   Is it lawful to do this with the intent to take property from those who built it whose desire was to transfer to another jurisdiction?

Response to Constitutional Expose

When we wrote and sent out the  Constitutional Rights Expose we sent a copy to each of  leaders of  COGIC inc.  We recieved a response from Bishop S. P. Nesbitt who is now a retired Chief Justice of the Judiciary Board of the Church of God in Christ.  It is from someone who has been in the church for over 80 years.  He has a Juris Doctors degree and has held various positions in the church of over 60 years.  His response is 19 pages long but is so informative it is riveting.   Click on this link Bishop Nesbitts Response to read his response.

I keep adding this poll to keep before you, the fact there is a Bishop in Wichita, Kansas who for the second time has sued a church to take its property and effectively put the people out who have sweated and paid for it.  This can happen to anyone, because he gets the churchs General Counsel to assist him, the leadership is led to believe it is one issue and refuse to think otherwise.  Be not decieved, GOD is not mocked, whatsoever a man sows that shall he also reap

Whose report do you believe?

Luke 22:31-32; And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: 32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.

It is comforting to know that JESUS himself prayed, for our faith.  Through the almost six years of our struggle, our faith and trust has been in CHRIST and His Word.  We trust in the Word of GOD.  You see, I believe GOD has given us victory.  I know what the report says,  Bishop Gilkey sought and recieved a temporary injunction which gave him keys and control of our property.   One of his attorneys called us squatters, can you imagine those who literaly built the church being called squatters.  The other one, a Cogic ordained Elder, implied we might be worshipping Satan.  Rev. 12:11 says 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.    This is truly a spiritual battle .   We trust GOD.  We have given Him the glory and we won’t take it back,   RESOUNDING VICTORY IN THE MIGHTY NAME OF JESUS
