In the column on the right, if you click on the title All COGIC Charters/Constitutions, under Articles on the COGIC Constitution heading, you can view all charters that have been filed with the Secretary of State of Tennessee. From the original in 1922 to the present.  These can be obtained from the Secretary of State of Tennessee, they are a matter of public record.   Here is the answer to the question, is the constitution based on the Bible.

I was asked the question “what would my recommendation be?” concerning my last post. Perhaps we as COGIC members have become impressed with ourselves and have forgotten, it is GOD who takes men up, and GOD who takes them down. Remember King Saul, he was elevated to king, but the kingdom was torn from him for disobedience.

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place.” (2 Chronicles 7:14–15, AV)

We’ve gotten pretty good at fasting and praying but we are not good at being humble. The requirement is first to “humble ourselves” if I may add in the sight of GOD. Then pray and seek HIS face and turn from their wicked ways. It is only then GOD said “I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sins and heal their land. Anything short of that is useless.

“Behold, the LORD’S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.” (Isaiah 59:1–2, AV)

GOD himself said your iniquities has separated GOD and you. There are sins of omission as well as sins of commission. When you know to do good and you don’t, when you rejoice in the sin of another or as it says in II Cor. 7:1 “…,let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh as well as the spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of GOD.”

“Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.” (Zechariah 4:6, AV)
This cannot be done with physical might or willpower but only by the Spirit of GOD.

“Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.” (Jeremiah 6:16, AV)
No matter who you are, when we know what GOD has said about a certain thing, and we do the opposite, we have lifted that up above the word of the Most High GOD and esteemed our thoughts above those of GOD.

Seek the one who blesses, not the blessing
